Clean‐up

Clean-up is reversing the campus of the ULB from its FOSDEM state to its university state. It means removing a lot of stuff, moving things into vans and sweeping floors. An added challenge is that we try to do it in about 3 hours...

You'll be working in teams of two and the coordination is done by the per-building coordinator. Normally, you'll start in one building and then move to other buildings depending on demand.

What you will do

• Put all FOSDEM equipment back into the boxes it came from.
• Remove all paper, single-use signs and tape; throw it in the garbage bins.
• Dismantle stands and put all tables, chairs and table cloths back on the carts.
• Dismantle the infodesk and cloak room; put all tables and chairs back on the carts.
• Empty all garbage bins and bags into the garbage containers outside.
• Sweep all the floors.

What you should take

• It is February, it might be chilly or rainy. Best to bring a coat and some warm clothing.
• Bring some worker gloves. We will have some, but probably not enough.

Where you should go

• Come to the K infodesk (K-1 - purple dot).

Timing

16:00	The clean-up starts with AW and U. If you want to help, come to the K infodesk.
16:00 - 18:00	Clean up of AW, U, H, parts of K and F.
18:00 - 20:00	General clean up (all buildings).
20:00 - 20:30	Volunteer dinner in K (we provide the food).
20:30 - 21:30	Final clean up of K. FOSDEM is finished.
