Bringing Back Dual Wielding + Ranger Ocelot #483
Conversation
OK. No. Drawing the line here. Dual-wielding was removed for high-calibre revolvers, pistols and SMGs because they were overpowered as hell. The accuracy debuff means little in CQC, which is when you tend to use these sorts of weapons in the first place. Double the rate of fire means half the time to kill and double the damage. If you want to re-add dual wielding to weaker weapons like the .357 revolvers or 9mm/10mm pistols, I'm fine with that - SMGs, shotguns and high-calibre pistols need to be off limits. They are far too powerful when dual wielded. Massive no. |
i disagree, dual wielding is fun. |
I forgive you. |
dual wielding is cool |
how is dual wielding supposed to work? it's supposed to switch between revolvers after each shot, right? currently doesnt. wont work at all. at least the vet rangers' revolvers dont |
Need to be in harm intent |
wait can you dual wield the uzis??? |
i really like this but i feel as though the ocelot loadout for the ranger is pretty gimmicky. like, ive only seen a single good vet ranger main pick it as of late. the incredibly inaccuracy just makes the AMR/brush gun more appealing. maybe give the ocelot vet that one book that greatly increases accuracy? i forgot the name. reality bending or something. not sure if its in the code. or just increase the accuracy of his revolvers. seeing both bullets deviate like 45 degrees point blank is silly. |
I agree it does need to have better accuracy, the 45 degree firing cone is crazy |
also buffing the ocelot revolvers by 1 or 2 damage to actually make them good since right now the deagles are just better SAA revolvers |
yeah. ive been maining ocelot for a while now, and the inaccuracy the vet gets is ridiculous. no reason to pick it over the brush at all. the accuracy book for the vet would make it worthwhile. or, if the book isnt a thing here, just make it so the vet's revolvers arent so dogshit inaccurate. |
it MIGHT be the lawman book but IIRC that was only a waster book or a den spawn book |

About The Pull Request
Brings back dual wielding to a solid majority of pistols, revolvers, and other one-handed weapons. Brings back the dual SAA loadout for the Vet Ranger. Slightly buffs Beretta. Slightly increased Uzi's spread.
Why It's Good For The Game
I have no idea why it was taken out in the first place, feels like grudgecode. Dual wielding is badass, and the accuracy gets awful when you're dual wielding.
Literally nobody runs the Vet Ranger with the Neostead - some incentive to run anything other than the AMR is always good.
Also, the Beretta had godawful stats for some reason, so I thought that should be fixed.
