thinly veiled attempt at re-adding wrestling to the legion, we need less of the ranger close range bullshit not more

if this didnt add 3 different variants of cqc I'd say okay but DO NOT ADD CQC TO ANY ROLE THAT ISNT ADMINSPAWNED(see legate)

Wrestling was based and Praetorian is heavily limited in what he can do with the martial arts he's given, considering he's not a primary combat role, but a bodyguard for the Orator. He's not even close to being related to the Ranger role. I can assure you at least a dozen people will bitch if we removed ranger close range bullshit instead of adding something nuanced to the game.

Not CQC, this is martial arts, and I picked out the least lethal ones, and you only get one Praetorian.

I don't think this is a necessary addition, and lore-wise Legion Praetorians are Caesar's personal bodyguards so it's hard to justify in the same way a Legate role is.

Fair enough, I thought it was a valid choice to make since HTs were basically personal projects for General Oliver, but I get it.

Rather than naming the role Praetorian, we could name the role Lictor instead; Alongside Praetorians (who were elite units of the Roman Military), lictors were also bodyguards whilst their main function was being civil servants/attendants.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lictor

Of course, this is just to address the fact Praetorians, as we see them in the Legion, are guards mainly to Caesar (and we don't see any Legion government officials outside of the military or Caesar himself). If it's not that necessary of an addition due to role bloat, then yeah.

Thought this was a good idea, renamed them to Lictorii.

I'd say change this from a unique role to a loadout for the orator, then also lose the CQC/Martial arts. I personally think CQC in any form and martial arts is balanced and fair but a solid 70% percent of the playerbase wont agree. I don't want to balance based on what the few enjoy in comparison to the majority.

Once again - not CQC, and I selected the least lethal options for martial arts, which makes it more than fair and balanced. We haven't even played a round yet with the testmerge functional, so I'm not making any changes or taking in playerbase feedback until I see it operate in an organic server environment.
