valetudo

Beta 0.4.0

After ~3 Months, Valetudo is finally at a point where it's working good enough™ for a release.

New Features

  • You can now issue Zoned Cleanup as well as Go To commands for predefined zones/spots via the MQTT Interface [1]
  • Completely reworked zone editor by @matthiasharrer [2]
  • @rand256 has enabled valetudo to manage virtual walls as well as no-go zones for Gen2 [3]
  • You're now able to upload ssh keys via the webinterface as well as enable HTTP Basic Auth thanks to @petabyteboy [4]
  • You can now check if you're running the latest version of Valetudo @balu- [5]

Changes

  • Valetudo 0.4.0 is using the mqtt state vacuum specification of Home Assistant 0.93 thanks to @pszafer
  • Mop Mode is now supported for Gen2
  • Memory leakage was partly fixed and should now be at least contained
  • A better looking default map
  • A lot of stability improvements + Bugfixes

Known Issues

  • For reasons yet to be discovered, the Valetudo service might not be started on a newly flashed robot. You may need to connect via SSH and rum service valetudo start
  • While the memory issues seem to be contained, A lot of users are experiencing factory resets with 17xx FW Versions. I'm currently evaluating Gen2 FWs 1820 + 1864 to see if those may fix these issues
  • Saving Virtual Walls/No-Go Zones takes some time. Don't be confused by the editor showing stale data after you've saved them. See #289
  • No-Go Zones can only be rectangular at this point, because the editor doesn't support anything else.

Closing remarks

As always I'm unable to mention everyone due to the sheer amount of contributions.
