New Repo Governance

John Moehrke edited this page Feb 8, 2023 · 3 revisions

New repositories must be created by an owner of the IHE github organization, usually John Moehrke. The repositories creation request must be from a co-chairs of a domain.

There a few types of repositories including:

  • committee repositories, these are used by a domain committee or sub-committee to coordinate efforts of that committee. This might be used for prototypes but should not be used to produce specifications that will be published formally.
  • whitepaper/handbook/long-form-supplement - This is a repository for simple authoring such as a white paper, handbook, or a long-form supplement. These simple authoring are usually using markdown for authoring and are published in html form on the profiles.ihe.net. These will start with the base-template
  • IG publisher Implementation Guides - This is a repository for Implementation Guides (aka IHE-Profiles) that are using the IG-Publisher. These will start with the supplement-template

Note that a repository can change over time.
