Metadata with Extended Conformance Class (md2) Namespace defines classes from the mex namespace that are required to extend the ISO metadata standards (MD_DatatypeCode, MD_ExtendedElementInformation, MD_MetadataExtensionInformation, and MD_ObligationCode).

The schema for the mex namespace and other information is at http://standards.iso.org/iso/19115/-3/mex/1.0. The schema for the md2 namespace and other information is at http://standards.iso.org/iso/19115/-3/md2/1.0.
