jGGTrans sources have been moved from my own Trac and Subversion repository to GitHub. I hope this is a change for a better.
The most important change is the update for the newest libgadu (1.9.0-rc3) and the new GG10 protocol improvements. That introduced support for the new 'long' GG numbers, long statuses and Unicode messages and statuses.
Also a few changed from the xiaoka jggtrans fork has been merged and a new configuration option <ignore_system_messages />
implemented.
This is mainly a bugfix and information-update release. Several bugs in presence subscription handling
and registration were fixed. /registered
resource is not used in the main JID of the transport by default
(but it will be used for old accounts, for compatibility).
jGGtrans (GG Transport), is external component for a XMPP (Jabber) server providing gateway to GaduGadu instant messaging services. GaduGadu is an IM system very popular in Poland.
jGGtrans is known to work well together with ejabberd, jabberd14 and [http://codex.xiaoka.com/wiki/jabberd2:start](jabberd 2), but most other Jabber server implementations should work too.
Please note, that using this software may be prohibited by GaduGadu terms of use.
Sources include README and INSTALL files and a sample configuration file (jggtrans.xml). There are also Polish versions of these.
There is a jGGtrans installation tutorial for ejabberd available.
All jGGtrans source code releases are available for download at: https://github.com/Jajcus/jggtrans/downloads
There are three mailing list available for the project:
- [email protected] — general jGGtrans discussion. Mainly in Polish.
- [email protected] — git commits notifications
