MusicBot is a local Discord Music Bot that works with Lavalink.

Setup

1. Get the MusicBot.zip archive from releases.
2. Extract the MusicBot folder.
3. Get Java 13+. You can download and install it with the x64 Installer.
4. Go to Discord Developer Applications
   • 3.1. Get your token.
     • 3.1.1. Create a New Application.
     • 3.1.2. On the left side, click on Bot.
     • 3.1.3. Click on Add Bot > Yes, do it.
     • 3.1.4. Under Token, click on Copy, that's your token.
     • 3.1.5. Feel free to customize your bot's appearance.
     • 3.1.6. Go to your downloaded files, open "_config", insert your token, and set a prefix.
     • 3.1.7. Rename the file "_config" to "config".
   • 3.2. Invite the bot.
     • 3.2.1. On the left side, click on OAuth2 > URL Generator.
     • 3.2.2. Click on Bot (Scopes) > Administrator (Bot permisisons).
     • 3.2.3. Scroll down and click on Copy, that's your bot invite link.
     • 3.2.4. Paste the link in your browser window, and select your server.
5. Launch the bot from the Start, not the MusicBot.
6. (Optional) Add link shortcuts.
   • 6.1. Rename the file "_links" to "links".
   • 6.2. Add your links in the format: "myshortcut https://mylink.com/".
   • 6.3. The shortcut must NOT contain spaces.
   • 6.4. Save the file and restart the bot.
