When in sketch mode, double clicking a dimension should allow you to input a new one.
With 3D geometry, double clicking should open the same dialogue box from when you first created the extrusion, revolve, loft, chamfer, draft, etc. so you can change it.
With 3D geometry, single clicking should make something in the upper toolbar show "Edit Extrude" or "Edit Revolve" (Like the Edit Sketch command) and take the user to the dialogue box where they first created the 3D shape.
- Currently, when selecting any side of a 3D object, modeling app allows the user to select "edit sketch" (changing the command away from "start sketch"). It would be better to do away with this. For one, this conflicts with the functionality I wrote above. And two, it restricts the user to a certain sequence of clicks if they want to start a new sketch on the surface of an object. They have to select the start sketch command first, then the surface. They should be able to select the surface, then the start sketch command as well. Some prefer one sequence over the other and many CAD programs allow for both.
