Series of GeoSpatial/GIS Python code examples (Python GIS CookBook) using GeoSpatial Open Source libraries

##1 - Install requirements:

1.1 - Install GDAL:

1.1.a - On Mac: http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/frameworks

1.1.b - On Linux:

sudo apt-get install gdal-bin

1.1.c - On Windows: http://www.gis.usu.edu/~chrisg/python/2009/docs/gdal_win.pdf

1.1.d - GDAL on Vagrant: https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/Vagrant

1.2 - Install NetCDF4:

1.2.1 - http://unidata.github.io/netcdf4-python/

1.3 - Install Numpy:

1.3.1 - http://docs.scipy.org/doc/numpy-1.10.1/user/install.html

##2 - Get the code:

2.1 - Open the link to Github repo: https://github.com/MBoustani/Geothon

2.2 - Click on "Download ZIP" button to get the repository as zip file or run this command on terminal:

mkdir geothon git clone https://github.com/MBoustani/Geothon.git geothon

##3 - Run codes:

3.1 - To run each example code, move to each directory and run the example code by running this command on terminal:

python <name of file>.py

Example:

python /Conversion Tools/geojson_to_kml.py
