  • Fixes automatic alternates (substitution) to look at AltFile as well as SubstituteFile. SubstituteFile descriptor was changed in recent Mod Manager updates and broke it.

This build was withdrawn from update deployment due to reports of users getting JNI errors when launching EXE after update.

This is a small update that includes security updates and bug fixes.

Changed features

  • ModDesc 5.0 is now enabled. It was previously enabled in code but would not show as supported. This allows developers to require existing DLC to be installed before installation is allowed. You can specify this under [ModInfo] using a ; delimited string on the descriptor requireddlc. For example: requireddlc=DLC_MOD_EGM;DLC_MOD_FSA2 will make both of these folders required to be in the DLC directory before they are allowed to install your mod.
  • 7zip will update to 18.05 on first boot to fix security issues and implement speed improvements
  • Third Party Mod Importing Service can now assign update codes if a dev decides to join the ME3Tweaks Updater Service after their mod has already been deployed
  • Improved a few things when deploying to ME3Tweaks Updater Service.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed bug in OP_NOINSTALL that would break the file queue of files that are being installed. In this case, the option to remove branding from UI mods would install the wrong file instead of not actually not installing the file.
  • r2: Fixes ME3Explorer extraction so it matches how I build the product now.

This is a security update as well a small holdover update until 5.1 is completed.

This is the final 32-bit version of Mass Effect 3 Mod Manager

If you run Windows 32-bit, Mod Manager will no longer check for updates, and future versions of Mod Manager will not accept 32-bit java runtime environments. There is simply too much work in the native code to sustain this small userbase, as it was built for 64-bit and does not work on 32-bit.

Network services such as ModMaker, GUI transplanter downloads, and other items for Mod Manager 32bit will be sustained until May 15, 2018, after which Mod Manager will no longer attempt to contact ME3Tweaks (hopefully).

If there are issues in this build and you are on 32-bit windows, unfortunately I won't be commiting any more fixes for this specific platform. It is time to upgrade your system, 64-bit processors have been around for well over a decade now.

Security updates

  • Mod Manager will warn you if you are running one of the fake cryptocurrency mining versions that were released on NexusMods. This version is a scam and is effectively malware, if you see this prompt, you should immediately delete the entire installation of mod manager and download a new copy from either here (github) or my site (me3tweaks.com).
  • Future builds of mod manager and tools will be signed by me once I receive my signing certificate. If your initial download is not signed by me, it is not genuine.

Changed features

  • If you disable the option to block mods on install if ALOT is found, a warning dialog now comes up instead of nothing to prevent you from accidentally installing it.

Bugfixes

  • The biogame directory not saving has been fixed. I don't know how I keep not fixing this yet writing I have fixed it.

Mod Manager 5.1

This is still a work in progress. I know its been forever. I have been super busy working on Mass Effect Ini Modder, ME3Explorer (ME3Tweaks Fork), ALOT Installer, and other small projects. It's coming, don't worry.
