Profile

Profile is a template for user authentication featuring login and registration functionalities. It securely stores user information in a database, hashes passwords for security, and sends verification codes to users' email addresses. Once the email address is confirmed, the user's information is stored in the database to prevent overcrowding.

Installation

To install Profile, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

    git clone https://github.com/MehdiSlr/profile.git
  2. Set up your environment by configuring the database connection details in the provided configuration file (conf/serv_conf.php).

  3. Ensure that your PHP environment meets the requirements specified in the project's documentation.

  4. Start your local server and navigate to the project directory. Use any web server that supports PHP like Apache(You can use XAMPP or WAMP).

  5. Run the below command in your terminal.

    php .\install.php
    
  6. Configure your SMTP credentials in config.example.php at conf/mail/config.example.php and rename it to config.php.

Usage

To use Profile in your web application, follow these guidelines:

  1. Integrate the provided authentication endpoints into your application's routing system.

  2. Customize the frontend views to match your application's design and user experience requirements.

  3. Ensure that your application's environment variables are correctly configured for database connection and email service.

  4. Test the registration, login, and email verification functionalities thoroughly before deploying to production.

  5. Provide test user data to the pros.sql file for testing purposes. (Email: [email protected] and password: 123)
