How to find the sequence data of your site of interest? The easiest can be to simply do the following:

  1. [go to the ENA home page] (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena)
  2. type the OSD site ID into the search box on the top right-hand side and click 'search', e.g. OSD3
  3. look at the Read domain results, here you will find 3 results
  4. click on 'View all 3 results'
  5. view the list of Run accessions, here you will find ERR771016 (shotgun), ERR867760 (16S amplicon) and ERR867761 (18S amplicon)
  6. click on the Run accession of interest to view details or download data, e.g. http://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/data/view/ERR771016 (note, from this page you can also navigate to the sample metadata by clicking on the Attributes tab in the corresponding Sample accession, e.g. http://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/data/view/ERS667665

Search for data associated with specific metadata can be done using the ENA Advanced search in the Sample domain, i.e. http://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/data/warehouse/search
