Ethernet IP Custom Device allows users to communicate with targets that support Logix tag names over EtherNet/IP. This functionality is commonly used for communicating with industrial PLCs.

This IP should be considered mature. The Ethernet IP Custom Device has been used worldwide by many customers in deployed applications since 2011.
Since this custom device uses Logix tags to communicate, there is a protocol limitation of 10-20 Hz for communication rate.
