Overview: Assessing improvement in coastal-ocean and ensuring global ocean solution is not degraded

Plans: Develop Shelf Assess for global capability, using LME’s (see below) and depth classes as assessment unit.

The target coastal-ocean assessment system exists here:
https://github.com/British-Oceanographic-Data-Centre/COAsT

For hydrography this needs to ingest code from here:
https://github.com/NOC-MSM/ShelfAssess/tree/master/Hydrography

The domain_cfg.nc file for the REF simulation (used by COAsT) is currently in /gws/nopw/j04/class_vol2/senemo/apm/u-cb897/domain .

Variables:

Hydrography Stratification metrics

SSH….

Metrics:
global and regional trends and variability of SSH (compare with satellite altimetry, tide gauges, BPRs, and against NEMO without modified physics).

Incorporate Ocean Assess to check open ocean solution
