How to analyse traffic logs from artifactory and Xray

  1. What is the total data usage as per the traffic logs located in current directory **

cat artifactory*.log | awk -F '|' '{ sum += $7 }; END { print sum }'

2)To get most downloaded files,in the output left will be the no of downloads and the right most will be the size of the file.**

grep 'DOWNLOAD|' * | awk -F '|' '{ print $6 "|" $7}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr | head -n 20

3)The traffic log analyser can be run in Mac for the traffic log files using a regular expression ending with .log, you can change it accordingly based on your requirement which will give us day wise repository wise break down*

$ find . -name "*.log" | while read f ; do ./trafficloganalyser.py $f ; done

4)Using below script, we should be able to find May month repository wise usage.**

while read p ; do { print $p ;cat *.log | grep $p | grep '^202205'| awk -F '|' '{ sum += $7 }; END { print sum "\n" }'} done <repolist

(i)where repolist can be obtained using this ** $cat artifactory*.log | awk -F '|' '{ print $6 }' | awk -F ':' '{ print $1 }' | awk '!seen[$0]++'

The output will be in the following format reponame usageinbytes
