Generating an API key for Google Maps
To make use of the Location fields in the OmniTrack for Android, you must register the Google Maps API key when building your OmniTrack app. Once you generate an API key with your Google account, you can share it among all of your OmniTrack apps.
- A credit card for making a billing account in your Google account. You need to configure a billing account to use Google Maps API, but you will NOT charged.

Go to Google Cloud console.

If you are signed in multiple Google accounts, select the account that you will use on the top-right corner.

Select the project on the top navigation bar. There would be already one that is automatically generated when you created your Firebase project.

You may be asked to created a billing account to proceed. Then configure a billing account and connect it.

If you are redirected to the dashboard, click Enable APIs and Services to enter the API selection gallery. Or, you can go top-left menu button > APIs & Services > Libary.
If you are already at the API selection gallery, just proceed to the next step.

Click Maps SDK for Android in the gallery.

Click Enable.

On the Maps API dashboard, go to Credentials tab, and copy your API key.
