• heat pump technology: A heat pump technology is a heat generation technology that describes how to combine heat pumps, heat generation processes, energy carriers and energy in a specific way.

I think to add meaningful heat generation technology I think we should first add some additional processes:

• electrical heating or electrical heat generating process: Electrical heating is an energy transformation process that converts electrical energy to thermal energy.
  Axiom: 'electrical heating' 'has participant' some 'electrical heater'

Then electrical heating technology can me define much more concise: An electrical heating technology is a technology that describes how to combine electrical heaters in a heat generation process with electrical energy as input in a specific way.

Similarly for the other heat generation technologies, where we should define e.g. a heat pumping process first.

I also suggest to add some alternative labels:

• heating technology as alternative to heat generation technology
• heating as alternative to heat generation process.
