Crofton Descriptor CUDA C++

DATA FOR TEST: https://github.com/Pavelevich/datafortest

Crofton Descriptor is a measure of shape complexity in computer vision and image processing, used for object recognition and classification. It measures the average length of the boundary of an object per unit area and is computed using a line integral over the boundary of the object.

To implement the Crofton Descriptor using CUDA C++, you would need to first create a CUDA kernel function to perform the line integral calculation on the GPU. This kernel function would need to be invoked for each object in the image, and the result of the line integral for each object would need to be accumulated. To optimize performance, you can use shared memory to store intermediate results, and thread blocks to divide the work of computing the line integral among multiple threads.

Here is a high-level pseudocode for implementing the Crofton Descriptor using CUDA C++:

#########################################################################################################################################################

global void crofton_kernel(int num_objects, int object_size, float *object_boundaries, float *results) { int object_id = blockIdx.x * blockDim.x + threadIdx.x; if (object_id >= num_objects) return;

float result = 0.0f;
for (int i = 0; i < object_size; i++)
{
    result += object_boundaries[object_id * object_size + i];
}

results[object_id] = result;

}

void crofton_descriptor(int num_objects, int object_size, float *object_boundaries, float *results) { int threads_per_block = 512; int blocks = (num_objects + threads_per_block - 1) / threads_per_block; crofton_kernel<<<blocks, threads_per_block>>>(num_objects, object_size, object_boundaries, results); }

This code demonstrates a simple implementation of the Crofton Descriptor using CUDA C++, and can be optimized further for specific use cases and hardware.
