Photon File Validator 1.5
Photon File Validator 1.4
This version contains small bug fixes and allow you to edit layer images.
Photon File Validator 1.3
With this release it is now possible to fix minor pixel related islands automatically. This enables you to concentrate on the larger islands that require added support.
Load of a model and the validation of the model has been split into two processes, which let you start working with the application as soon as it is loaded.
Minor improvements are back buttons for margin and problem areas, and using the native file open dialog on the operating system, to allow access to multiple internal and external drives. A minor improvement made to the island detector, to fix some special situations where connected areas was reported as islands.
Photon File Validator 1.2
New installers for macOS and Windows with bundled Java Runtime Environment (jre).
If you already have version 1.2, there are no need to re-install it.
Photon File Validator 1.2
Even though this application is still able to view AnyCubic Photon 3D printer slice files, it's no longer the most important point.
File Validation describes much better what this application can do, and file validation is the main focus for all new functionality that is added to the application. This is the reason the project changed name from Photon File Viewer to Photon File Validator.
The native installers and application launchers turned out to have a lot of issues. In the previous versions one application generated installers for all the platforms, but didn't do that really well. Now each platform has its own install and launch generator tools, producing much better user experience.
Java JRE is no longer bundled into the installer. The launchers now look for an existing Java, and informs the user if Java needs to be downloaded and installed.
This version also contains a new slider for all the layers in the file, which makes it quicker to navigate through lots of layers.
Photon File Viewer, better memory handling and zoom
Improved the internal storage of the image for each layer. The image data is now run-length encoded in the same style as the original photon file data.
Added zoom from 0.5x to 2x - to allow for better overview, or viewing details.
