Below is a list of common issues that may occur on first installation.

If you are crashing on startup, try the following:

Update your graphics drivers if you are using an AMD GPU. A hs_err_pidXXXXXX.log file may be generated that mentions atio6axx.dll as the problematic frame.
Free up storage on your system for the Windows page file. This is mandatory if Minecraft is unable to commit memory and generates a special log file that looks similar to: hs_err_pidXXXXXX.log. It has been verified that the modpack runs with 4 GB allocated with 8 GB of physical RAM.
Delete the tempad_client.json file and re-launch.
