Two option are provided to process logic trees.
-
MONTE CARLO: seismogenic source models and ground motion prediction equations are obtained by randomly sampling the branching levels of the logic tree. Uncertainties defined for specific parameters are assumed uncorrelated (that is apply indipendenlty to each single source for which the parameter is defined).
-
DETERMINISTIC: seismogenic source models and ground motion prediction equations are derived for each logic tree end-branch. Uncertainties defined for specific parameters are assumed correlated (that is apply in the same way to all the sources for which the parameter is defined)
