I'm fine with bumping these versions occasionally, and would really like to also see the underlying reason for wanting to do a bump, e.g. what changed in SDL, a justification for making a bump. The bump itself is intrinsically risky, so some justification is usually preferred.

In general, given those are patch version updates, one would assume they have no breaking changes. And to me it feels like being up to date is better than doing a bigger jump later.

But sure, I'll follow your advice.
