Set Local Git Name and Email

(2-5 minutes, one time step)

Start Git for Windows Gui (can be done via start menu):

'open existing repository' or 'open recent repository' if available
Git for Windows Edit menu > options

Update the global name and global email fields to match what you used when setting up your github account.
