Unix Linux ‐ Create system‐wide hot keys

This is only relevant if you use KeePass on Linux / Unix.
See https://keepass.info/help/v2/setup.html#mono for a general description how to create system-wide hot keys.

Instead of mono /YourPathToKeePass/KeePass.exe --auto-type use the following commands:

  • mono /YourPathToKeePass/KeePass.exe --e:advanced-auto-type to auto-type the alternate auto-type sequence
  • mono /YourPathToKeePass/KeePass.exe --e:auto-type-username to auto-type only the username
