🌉 LowKations

"Low-key" - (Adjective) - without seeking or receiving much attention or recognition

LowKations is a concept project that brings the best of the community together. From bustling cities to beautiful natural scenes, there's always an amazing spot that's only known to the people who's stumbled upon them. Really amazing unknown cafés, a nice spot by the creek or a great spot to see the city view; these are all locations that are "lowkey" and deserves some attention by adventure seekers ready to explore the world to the finest depths.

This project was made with love for Map Hacks 2021 ❤️

Also, we won first place and the real trophy is that we learned a lot 🏆

🔨 Set-Up

0. Prequisite Installs
   1. The latest LTS version of Node.js and npm
   2. Preferably an install of create-react-app
1. Clone this git repository
2. Navigate install all packages

   cd app_node
   npm i
   cd ../app_react
   npm i

3. Run the back-end server

   cd app_node
   node index.js

4. While the back-end server is running, run the front-end server

   cd app_react
   npm start

5. Open your browser at http://localhost:3000/
   1. http://localhost:3000/ & http://localhost:3000/home navigates to home
   2. http://localhost:3000/search navigates to search
   3. http://localhost:3000/location navigates to location
