Reaching Out

The most difficult part in reaching out was convincing people that they do not need to have prior experience or knowledge to attend the event. Maybe a good way to reach out in the future would be including comments from past attendants how they felt welcomed and had fun regardless of their background.

*Many OHSU people might have felt like the event was irrelevant to them because hack day was held off-campus. Having meet and greet by the lower tram station was helpful in having OHSU participants without making non-OHSU participants travel up the hill.
