##License All images used for Chobby should have clear licensing terms to avoid future headaches. Make sure you double check and explicitly specify licensing terms when doing a pull request.
The images should be licensed under CC0 (https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/), as this will give the potential derivatives most flexibility in all regards.
If a newly added image is not made by the submitter, it needs to include a link to the original that should be kept for posterity reasons and can be used initially to check the licensing terms.

##Icon art direction TODO:
Someone smart should write this, so we have a unified art direction between icons and chili skin. Icons may also want to be a skin. @Forboding_Angel pls
The non-clickable icons should be like X
The clickable icons should be like Y, different from X in way Z (e.g. use a visible background button?) that clearly informs the user that the icon is clickable.

##Replacement images

At first we should obtain basic replacement images for existing elements. In particular, we need image replacements for add channel (+), leave channel (x), and police icon.

The police icon already looks good but has questionable licensing. It's OK to find a new one instead of making it, but it needs to have very clear (CC0) licensing.

##New images

I'm not yet sure which of these will have an icon. It might be all, some, or depending on the mode (small or wide), but it's worth making anyway, so we're flexible with these decisions.

The items below should have new images:

  • Chat (tab)
  • News (tab)
  • Replays (tab)

These items also need to be replaced as they have unclear licensing terms (the original site was apparently dual licensing them by accident, and what they claim to be the "real license" is unusable for Chobby):
