Welcome to the CECILIA wiki!

CECILIA aims to be a framework for "chatroom bots" -- programs which perform actions based on text entered into a chat application. Our goal, to set CECILIA apart from other such frameworks, is to be as independent as possible from not only chat network, but also programming language. To accomplish this, "modules" are written and compiled in order to provide functionality to the CECILIA core. A module can be written in just about any programming language that supports a form of Common Foreign Function Interface (CFFI).
