- How to edit the calendar schedule
Go to_modules
and edit the markdown file for the corresponding week. For a list of label styles, see here. - How to edit course staff profiles
Go to_staffers
and edit the markdown file for the corresponding staff. You can also update their profile pictures inresources/assets/staff_pics/
. Make sure the filenames match. - Syllabus and Resources can be edited in the corresponding markdown files.
Note to staff: Always pull changes before making any edits.
- Clone the website-base repository.
- Edit the
baseurl
field in_config.yml
to the repo name. - Update the links in
_config.yml
. - Run the script
init.py
and follow the instructions displayed. Running this script will automatically generate weekly schedule markdowns for the_modules
folder. - Edit other files manually (
index.md
,syllabus.md
,enrollment.md
,calendar.md
, etc) - Add hyperlink of the new semester webpage to
index.md
in UCB-Econ-148.github.io.

Install rvm
: https://rvm.io/
Install Ruby
Clone this repo:
git clone https://github.com/UCB-Econ-148/website-base.git
In the repo directory, run:
gem install bundler
bundle install
Finally, serve the project locally with:
jekyll serve
This will start the local Jekyll server at http://localhost:4000.
