Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: PISTA Motorsport
  • Steam AppID of the game: 2434120

System Information

  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070
  • Video driver version: 555
  • Kernel version: 6.5
  • Link to full system information report as Gist:
  • Proton version: 9.0

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

The game works apparently well, but has a couple of issues:
1 - When using my Logitech G29 steering wheel (with the new-lg4ff driver), it does not let me assign the brake pedal (Axis 3). If I select the G27 compatibility mode of the steering wheel with Oversteer, it does.
2 - In time attack mode, the game is not able to display the other players` best lap times , as it does in Windows.

Reproduction

1 - Attempting to assign the brake pedal axis in the controls section.
2 - After selecting car and track in time attack mode

MORE INFO:
On the first issue, like Hot Lap Racing and Classic Racers Elite , the game is developed with Unity 3D, and the control mapping is done by the asset Rewired. A few months ago I also had the same problem using proton with another game developed in Unity and using Rewired, Extreme Rally Raid, so the problem seems to be here, but asking for support its developer told me that it was Proton's issue. About the second issue, with GE-Proton 9.20, the problem does not occur. I can see the track times of the other players without any problems
