Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Extreme Rally Raid
  • Steam AppID of the game: 2615040

System Information

  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070
  • Video driver version: nvidia 550
  • Kernel version: 6.8
  • Link to full system information report as Gist:
  • Proton version: 9.0

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

  • When using my Logitech G29 steering wheel (with the new-lg4ff driver), it does not let me assign the brake pedal (Axis 3). If I select the G27 compatibility mode of the steering wheel with Oversteer, it does.
  • The game also does not perform force feedback effects on the steering wheel.

Reproduction

Attempting to assign the brake pedal axis in the controls section.

MORE INFO:
First, this game has a Linux native version that don't has this issues
Like PISTA Motorsport, Hot Lap Racing and Classic Racers Elite , the game is developed with Unity 3D, and the control mapping is done by the asset Rewired. A few months ago I also had the same problem using proton with this game developed in Unity and using Rewired, so the problem seems to be here, but asking for support its developer told me that it was Proton's issue.
