Representative Spectra

Sometimes, you may wish to have a spectrum that is representative of the others in the dataset. In Vespucci, you can find a representative spectrum by selecting "Calculate Representative Spectrum" from the Analysis menu. Vespucci determines the representative spectrum by finding the spectrum most similar to the average or median of all spectra. You will be presented with a dialog allowing you to select the distance metric and center: The representative spectrum will appear as an auxiliary matrix in your dataset.
