Pre-release

Second preview version of the NVR app, which records videos from an IP cameras and immediately encrypts them under Flightbox cryptosystem, using configured Key Guardians.

Information: https://witnessangel.com/en/videotestimony-for-condominiums/

Requires FFMPEG to be installed and present in your PATH environment variable.

Open the "Assets" dropdown below to download binaries. Theses executables are NOT SIGNED for now, so depending on your operating system and its version, you might have to enable the installation and/or execution of untrusted applications. Be careful with that, though.
E.g. on recent Windows: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-smartscreen-trusted-app-windows-10
On unix-like systems, you might instead just have to make the downloaded file executable ("chmod +x myfile" from a terminal).

Binaries test on Windows 21H2, and Linux Ubuntu 20.04 ; they should be compatible with newer versions.

A system image of Raspberry Pi OS, with NVR and FFMPEG preinstalled, is available here: https://witnessangel.com/media/releases/20220919_witness_angel_videotestimony_image.zip

Known bugs and limitations:

  • On Linux, FFMPEG installed via Snap is not supported yet
  • When decrypting an empty container, an error is raised
