4 (Optional) ‐ Voukoder

Why would you want to use this?

  • Do your videos take extremely long to export in your editing software?
  • Is your PC capable of encoding AV1 and you would like to export your video with that but your editing software isn't compatible with AV1?
  • Is your Graphics Card way more powerful than your CPU?

If any of these apply to you then yes, Voukoder would be a good idea.

Installation

Go on their website and choose the download for "VoukoderPro" (no, it does not cost money).

When launching the installer choose your editing software on this screen:

Then just follow the rest of the instructions in the installer and restart your application.

Usage

After installing you should find Voukoder as an option in your rendering/export options (Usually at the "Format" selection)

From there you can configure the export.

At the "Video" section you can click on "Options" and here you will find all of the options you configured in OBS too so I just match the settings on that page with the settings you used in OBS.

For information about what these settings do check here.

The same thing also applies for the "Audio" and "Output" sections so for more information on those check the previous pages, specifically
the section called "Recording Format" here and the audio part.
