Code of Conduct
This wiki entry holds additional information regarding the Code of Conduct. It is written in an FAQ-like style.
- Where can I learn more about the topic "Code of Conduct"?
- Where does the Code of Conduct take effect?
- What happens if someone violates the Code of Conduct?
- How can I report violations?
The Open Source Guide about the "Code of Conduct" provides a good explanation and has a bunch of valuable information. Also the website of the Contributor Covenant (from which the Algorithm Archive's code of conduct is derived) provides more insight.
This is specified in the Code of Conduct itself:
This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces, and it also applies when an individual is representing the project or its community in public spaces. Examples of representing a project or community include using an official project e-mail address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event. Representation of a project may be further defined and clarified by project maintainers.
So the Code of Conduct applies for the Algorithm Archive project spaces and when an individual is representing this project.
Notable examples of Algorithm Archive project spaces are:
- The Algorithm Archive GitHub
- The Algorithm Archive Discord Server
or "How does the Code of Conduct get enforced?"
The contact person, who receives the report, will follow the workflow described in Section 4 of the Open Source Guide about the "Code of Conduct".
This is described in the Code of Conduct itself:
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting Julian Schacher at [email protected] or James Schloss at [email protected].
So either contact Julian Schacher at [email protected] or James Schloss at [email protected].
