Hello -

Based on the conversation in #98, what would @alexander-alvarez or anyone else at alphasights thing about transfering this addon to: https://github.com/adopted-ember-addons

That way it can transfer ownership, maintenance, in a secure and transparent way with:

  1. a relatively trusted group to steward security updates
  2. More eyes to be able to triage issues, etc
  3. Gets this off your hands but maintains stability for consumers

Here are the program guidelines: https://github.com/adopted-ember-addons/program-guidelines/blob/master/README.md

👍 You know I'm open to it. I'd be more than happy to not be a blocker of progress for the community.
I don't have ownership over this repo however.

@brianstorti I am checking on you because you're the first person who showed up on the alphasights people tab with commits. Would you all be interested in spinning this out of your organization?

I'm happy to try to setup a discussion with whomever you need to. This addon has a few different big dependencies and it would be nice to get it to a place with some more eyes/people to work on it.

@alexander-alvarez @donaldwasserman did anyone hear anything on this? I'm an admin at adopted-ember-addons, and would love to get this transferred. Alternatively, could some of us be added as maintainers?

@rudy-on-rails do you know who we could reach out to about this?

@rwwagner90 i think everyone who has any access to this isn’t really responsive on GitHub anymore

Possibly @sauravj? Just trying people from AlphaSights who have had commits this year.

Sorry about the delay in replying. This repository currently belongs to AlphaSights, so I don't get notifications over the weekend on my personal e-mail.

I am also not an owner of this repository, so I can't transfer its ownership. Minda taking a look at this @Ewarren7 ?

Thanks @rudy-on-rails for the reply! Would it be possible to ping whoever has access to this repo outside of GitHub? Seems like most people are not very active on here.

Just did...

@rudy-on-rails no response from @Ewarren7? I'm very keen to get this transferred, otherwise we'll have to fork and release.

I am sorry about this. There are some internal discussions on the topic, because it seems we might need to have a different version of this running for different purposes.

I would, then, recommend that at least for now, a fork is created.

@rudy-on-rails could you elaborate on what you mean by having a different version running for different purposes? If the existing releases are working for your use cases, nothing would change if we updated and released a new major version.

Please merge #142. Thank you @rwwagner90, would you mind to fork this instead of waiting in the scope of adopted-ember-addons? Currently, I am using your personal fork to resolve my issues with Ember 4.6.

Thank you all for this addon, but I think adopted-ember-addons? is a good place for this.

@rudy-on-rails just following up here. Wanted to reiterate that any versions you are currently using would be unchanged. Should be safe to get some new versions out for folks. If you wanted to give me permissions instead of transferring, that could work too.

@rudy-on-rails this is very important to talk to someone about. Can you please put me in touch with who is in charge here?

I have sent this request to the responsible team internally and they will discuss this internally and then give you a reply.

@rudy-on-rails any chance you could put me in touch with them directly so I can stay in the loop? If they don't want to transfer the repo, perhaps they could add me as a maintainer?

@rudy-on-rails seems you are the only one who is checking their GitHub notifications. It might be easier if we just fork this to adopted-ember-addons, which sucks because I always like to keep the original when we can, but if no one will reply, we're stuck here.

My apologies for the delayed response @rwwagner90 @derrabauke. I have sent a follow up message to the group in an attempt to get this sorted.

Hi @DanielMcKeeAlpha, any responses from the group? Cheers
