Validation
The typical Hive workflow has been compared to commonly used building simulation tool to assess how reliable it is.
The monthly loads have been compared to a comparable EnergyPlus simulation (via the Honeybee plugin) and full SIA 380 demand calculation using this tool (currently A/S private repo)
The test case is a simple box of 5m x 5m x 3m simulated for monthly loads over year in the Zurich climate. See the grasshopper file for more details. Below are the results for the three differen simulators. Green = Hive, Blue = EnergyPlus / Honeybee, Red = SIA 380 tool.
