I have not had much time to test changes on latest master. So far everything seems good though.

@Stratus3D I have been using latest master and my experience has also been that these changes are working as expected.

I am going to try hopping Shells over the next couple of weeks to try out the new support we've (@hyperupcall) added.

I think we should let this particular release be tested by the eager for a while longer. Definitely until after the Easter holiday period has passed (it is observed in my region so I will be away from the internet for a few days 🚫 💻 ).

I was thinking this release might be a good one to introduce a /blog section to the documentation site (initially without RSS) so we can post more detailed explanations of the releases, our goals and other thoughts. What do you think?

I think we should release this soon. I've got one issue locally running latest main, but it only seems to appear when running tmux so it may be something else on my system causing the problem. I'm planning on doing more local testing in the next couple days for this.

The issue you're experiencing might be similar to #1550 which is also because of a change in this release.

I agree that this should be released soon, but I think we should resolve #1550 first, so users have a clear way forward if they encounter this issue.

I was planning to finally complete #1351 after the release - that way, we don't have too many changes in this release.
