📖 Budget Tracker App

The Budget Tracker app is a mobile web application where you can manage your budget: you have a list of transactions associated with a category, so that you can see how much money you spent and on what.

Key Features

• Register and log in, so that the data is private to the user
• Create a new category of expenses
• Introduce new transactions associated with a category
• See the money spent on each category

💻 Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

Prerequisites

In order to run this project you need:

• Install ruby on your computer or run it with docker
• Have rails installed on your computer

Setup

Clone this repository by using the command line :

• git clone https://github.com/asharanjith/Food-planner.git

Install

Install this project with:

bundle install

Setup database using

rails db:create rails db: migrate

Usage

To run the project, execute the following command:

rails s

Run tests

To run tests, execute the following command:

rspec spec

NB: You need to create an env file for your database credentials
