Focuser and Telescope not updating

Symptoms

In MaxIm DL, focuser appears to connect correctly. Position is shown in the usual "Position" box.
After entering a new position number and clicking "Move to" button, the buttons becomes disabled and nothing else happens in MaxIm DL.

Additional symptoms:

Focuser hardware works (motor moves to the new position correctly but this is not reflected in MaxIm DL).
In API logs ("api run" window) the logs are not scrolling.

Solution

Reinstall MaxIm DL 6.
