Welcome to the VizGEMS Wiki
VizGEMS is a monitor and control system that can manage large installations of assets: network assets such as routers and firewalls, computers, storage systems, and applications such as database and web servers. It can also manage virtual assets, such as VM servers and virtual storage. It can manage such large numbers of assets without requiring expensive hardware to run, in fact it typically runs on VM servers.
VizGEMS handles all aspects of management: collecting data, performing analysis like alarm correlation and statistical profiling, and displaying all the information on web pages for easy user access. It can also interface with a variety of other systems, such as other management systems, inventory databases, and ticketing systems.
VizGEMS is used in over 14 AT&T services. It manages over 400,000 assets, from a single VM to an entire AT&T facility. It is used both by internal users as well as AT&T customers through Business Direct.
