Hello there!

Welcome to my profile.

👨🏾‍🦱 About Me

My name is Ajani Green and I am a student Full Stack Developer from Jamaica 🇯🇲. In terms of general interests, I'm an all-rounder. Any topic, once interesting enough, will catch my attention. So yes, like most other people, I did have that one Minecraft phase and now I'm starting to get attached to cat videos.

In terms of technical interests, I like experimenting. I started with the regular command line applications, as a budding Software Developer usually does, in C. It was fascinating learning I could control my computer with the instructions I gave it. Eventually, I learned about the world of APIs and microservices and fell in love with Discord's API. It was at this point that I decided to learn Java (a personal favourite). Presently (March 2024), I am in my web development phase where I am interacting with Typescript and various APIs and frameworks a lot more. My next stepping stone is mobile app development for Android and iOS devices. I plan to document every step of my journey through this profile.

If all of that was too long for you, here's a little TL;DR:

  • 👨🏾‍💻 I am a full-stack engineer with a wide range of interests and technical skills. I am now mainly invested in Web Development and hope to gain opportunities in the realm of Mobile App Development.

What Exactly I Can Do

  • 👷🏾‍♂️ I can build front-end web apps using ReactJS and/or Next.js. Of course, I can do this with vanilla Javascript, HTML and CSS.
  • ⚙️ I can build back-end web apps using NestJS, Express, Spring or Ktor.
  • 🤖 I can develop Discord bots for a majority of purposes you can think of.
  • 🎨 I can design beautiful user interfaces for web apps using Figma.
  • 🏗️ I'm a fond implementer of OOP/OOD techniques.
  • 🏎️ I always strive to find the most efficient solution.

Here's a pretty icon list of languages, tools and frameworks I'm familiar with.

Kotlin  Java  Python  C  C++  Rust  React  Next.js  Redux   CSS  Sass  TailwindCSS  HTML  JavaScript  TypeScript  NodeJS  Express  NestJS  MySQL  PostgreSQL  MongoDB  Nginx Git Figma
