You can check the sha256sum and compare it with the checksum in sha256sums.txt:

$ sha256sum openSUSE-d1-20230326.img.xz

You can then decompress and 'dd' the file on an SD card larger than 8GB:

$ xz -d openSUSE-d1-20230326.img.xz
$ sudo dd bs=4M if=openSUSE-d1-20230326.img of=/dev/<SD CARD LOCATION> status=progress oflag=sync
