USER STORIES:

We Divided Our "Users" Into Four Categories:

Visitors
Admins
Musicians
Venue Managers

Visitors

  1. As a visitor on “Pitch” I want to be able to sign up for an account no matter which page I am on and be redirected back to the page I am currently looking at.
  2. As a visitor I want to be able to look at public user profiles without an account to find new musicians and music.
  3. As a visitor I want to see recent uploaded events and musician ads from users and venues.
  4. As a visitor I want to be able read about the website and the developers to further enhance my knowledge of the application.

Admins

  1. As an admin I want to allow users to link their Soundcloud accounts to show a better understanding of what type of music they are interested in playing.

Musicians

  1. As a user I want to be able to search for venues who are looking for musicians based on my user profile.

  2. As a user I want to be able to sign up using my soundcloud account so my profile can be further distinguished as to what type of venues I am looking for and who I am in general.

  3. As a user I want to be able to apply for venues on the application so the venues can see that I am interested and view my profile.

  4. As a user I want to be able to search for the type of venues specific to what I am looking for because I am looking to play some original music.

  5. As a user I want to be able to subscribe to and search specific venues to see when they have a gig posting of my interest.

  6. As a musician I want to be notified when the venue I applied for has chosen me.

  7. As a musician I want to be able to negotiate pay with the venue hiring me so I can get a fair price.

  8. As a musician I want to be able to share my location on my user profile so venues can see if I am near their location.

  9. As a musician I would like to advertise myself and my availability even when not in my hometown so that I may perform on the road.

  10. As a musician I would like to be able to be listed as an individual and as part of a band so that I can perform by myself or with my band-mates.

  11. As a musician I would like to easily be able to delete my account and all postings associated with it if I want to discontinue use of Pitch.

  12. As a musician I want to be able to communicate with a venue instantly to determine logistics such as payments and dates.

  13. As a musician I want to be able to negotiate all details of a contract and have someone hold both parties liable.

  14. As a musician I want my fans to know when and where I will be playing next on a calendar.

  15. As a musician I want to receive text updates on which venues in my area are hiring musicians.

  16. As a musician I would like to see a map of venues that are hosting different musicians near me so I can listen to some music close to me.

  17. As a musician I want to be able to search for venues or ads without going through all events and ads

Venue Managers

  1. As a venue manager I want to be able to negotiate pay with the talent I am hiring so I can get a fair price.
  2. As a music manager I want to receive text updates on which musicians are near me and available to play soon.
  3. As a Music manager at a restaurant I want to post online (not on Facebook or IG etc) on a platform just for musicians when I need someone to play at my restaurant.
  4. As a venue I want to be able to schedule appointments online and not have to call each musician for it.
  5. As a manager, I want to tag a category I need a musician/band in.
  6. As a manager I want to see what other venues think of the musician/band I’m about to hire for an event.
  7. As a manager I want to be able to see this person's work online before scheduling an appointment with them.
  8. As a manager, I want to specify how musicians will get paid in my event flyer.
  9. As a manager, I want to notify bands of any schedule change just by a push notification on the phone instead of calling each one of them.
  10. As a music manager for multiple businesses I want to be able to use the same account to handle appointments for different locations.
  11. As a music manager I want to specify how the band or musician will get paid so they can filter their search.
  12. As a music manager I want customers to be able to find out who will be playing on what day.
