I created a simple molecules visualization application using Next.js for the application framework, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Three.js for the 3D rendering of molecules.
I used this example to understand the PDB loader from Three.js: Three.js Molecules Example
The user can choose between different molecules, different styles of representation of the 3D object and also the type of model he wants like a 3D model with only Atoms, only Bonds or the two.
And user can also open a PDB file to see the result and interact with it.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font
to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
