I could have fixed
crypttab
after installation but I forgot and my workstation did not boot this morning, because I had added a SSD a couple of weeks ago and since then I only ranupdate-initramfs
yesterday, as part ofapk upgrade
, and I failed to notice the error message thatupdate-initramfs
produces when it can not find the disk as set up in/etc/crypttab
.Having the exact instructions right there will help me avoid this next time I install Chimera.
