Monster Progression

Here are some simple formulas for determining a monster's base stats.

Absorption should be used sparingly on creatures. Players expect to see the usual damage numbers from their weapons. Absorption is good for creatures who are obviously armored.
To keep things balanced, if you raise a creature's stat you should lower a different stat by a similar amount. Also consider monster speed, treasure amount, and power effects when balancing a creature.
