About the pull request

I've come to notice during rounds where a Renegade hive comes into existence (xenos with USCM IFF tags who decide to permanently ally with marines after corrupted queen dies/betrays). The marines shoot them way too often on first glance and clear their weeds despite the weeds not affecting them and the renegades being incapable of ever hurting marines. I've assume this is due to their colors looking way too similiar to the original hive since at first glance, you might think its just a regular xeno. I've decided to change the hive color to be more visually distinct at a glance.

old look: https://files.catbox.moe/1umkgx.png, new look: https://files.catbox.moe/srs3gd.png.
Its now only similar to the Bravo hive now.

Is this going to stop marines from executing Renegades? Probably not, they need a better way to show "DO NOT SHOOT, THEY CANT HURT YOU EVER" but this isnt the scope of the PR. This should decrease the incidents of accidental shootings and weed/structure clears.

Explain why it's good for the game

To make Renegades and their structures less likely to be attacked due to being misidentified as regular xenos from visuals, considering they are supposed to be permanently friendly to marines and killing them is nothing but a net negative for marines.

They look like Bravo Hive now

Bravo is lighter and irrelevant in regular gameplay

Bravo is lighter and irrelevant in regular gameplay

Still, this only causes a problem for people in the future to handel with two hives now looking even more alike.
Can you at least give them orange so they dont just use another shade of yellow to be the second yellow hive?
Like #ff7a0 or #ff5805

Or you could give em a proper brown tone like they somwhat already had but without the green tint.
#8c5322 or #b56c2b for example. If that still has to much green mix in more red.

Eitherway, making them the color of another hive thats tecnicly not used aint the way. Especially if said hive can still be used in game. Like, its not admin locked. Players can make a Bravo hive, and sometimes do.

Attempts to make them brown has failed, the original color of the Renegades was brown, it simply wasn't enough to look different. The color has to be either incredibly exotic (which all of them are taken already except for full black but that one isn't gonna help either and full white which does nothing) or very saturated to make it stand out.

Bravo hive is irrelevant outside of regular gameplay because Research are not allowed to make multi hives for the purpose of alliances (which is also irrelevant due to only Corrupted,Tamed,Renegades are allowed to ally with human factions as consulted with management) and making hostile hives is not recommended as they serve no purpose and pose a massive risk.

Also, they still look visually different enough, here's a side by side comparison. Bravo on the left, Renegade on the right.

Honestly, now that i look at current hive colors, why are you saying renegade can be confused with greeno/blackhive?
They look all very diffrent already.

I would make them more of a bright teal color imo

not all marines will associate yellow with friendly

Bravo being yellow was the reason I tried to use a way darker color (brown), which didn't work out evidently. I totally agree that Bravo hive is pretty much irrelevant for the gameplay, so we shouldn't worry about this. If anything we can just remove Bravo hive, but I think this PR is gonna work well enough.

If you put them next to each other — sure. But if you are in the dark environment alone and see a xeno approaching you, while 99999 other things happening on your screen, it's possible to confuse even a greeno with a reg, let alone a renegade.

I would make them more of a bright teal color imo

Teal or blue-ish sounds not bad, but I think it might be easy to confuse it with the default purple-ish.
