Benchmark shim's memory usage

In #775 (comment) we see unexpected memory usage from the shim.
After further discussion, that measurement was probably incorrect, ad VmPeak is not a great indicator of actual memory usage.

It would be great to track the shim's memory usage as a benchmark.
It would also be interesting to track the shim memory usage when managing different number of containers.
